The 2019 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Cuvée Maelie Rouge, matured in 10% new oak, has a light nose of brambly red fruit, more raspberry than strawberry. The palate is medium-bodied with sharp tannins on the entry, and quite angular at the moment, but very fresh, with a pleasant peppery finish. Fine.
