Producer: Ferdinando Principiano
Principiano Langhe Nebbiolo comes predominately from a small 40 year-old hectare of Nebbiolo vines in the Le Coste di Monforte vineyard and a small portion from the Boscareto plot of Serralunga. The depth, richness and detail Principiano is able to coax from these vines is impressive.
The House was established in Reims in 1843, by Joseph Krug, a visionary non-conformist with an uncompromising philosophy. Having understood that the true essence of Champagne is pleasure itself, his dream was to craft the very best Champagne he could offer, every single year.
Krug Rosé draws inspiration from the dream of the fifth generation of the Krug family to produce a Champagne rosé that never existed before and that would reinvent itself every year. All editions of Krug Rosé perpetuate this tradition.
Krug’s NV Grande Cuvée 168ème Edition is positively brilliant. Chef de Caves Eric Lebel and his team have always put tremendous emphasis on the craft of blending. Never has that discipline been more critical than here, with the 168, which is based on 2012 vintage.
