Cuvée 747 NV, 75cl

2019. Winter was mild and dry. Spring frost struck three times and mainly caused damage to our Chardonnay vines, hence the predominance of the Pinots in this cuvee. Summer was dry with heatwaves that caused sunburn. We harvested a very high-quality crop with moderate yields from 12th to 22nd September. The wines are structured, balanced, long and complex....

Jacquesson

Jacquesson

Established in 1798, Jacquesson boasts a rich history, earning Napoleon's favor in 1810 when he awarded the gold medal for its cellars for the beauty and richness of its caves.

The Maison also once employed Johann-Joseph Krug as cellar master before he left in 1843 to form his own house. And despite 200+ years of tradition it never ceased to evolve, especially under the leadership of Laurent and Jean-Hervé Chiquet.

Champagne Jacquesson has always been a revolutionary Maison, implementing major innovations when it replaced its 150-year-old non-vintage blend with the innovative 700 series, a yearly changing single-vintage-based cuvée. They also introduced terroir-based cuvées to further solidifies its status among Champagne's best, and always decided to maintain an annual production limited to 300,000 bottles.

Tyson Stelzer of the Champagne Guide mentioned "No champagne house today is on a trajectory of ascent as steep as Jacquesson, which has leapt from ranking among Champagne's top 20 houses to a lofty position among its top 10".
