Pierre-Vincent Girardin, a 13th generation Burgundian winemaker, inherited 4.5 hectares of vineyards from his father, Vincent Girardin, who retained select parcels when selling Domaine Vincent Girardin in 2012. Growing up among the vines, Pierre-Vincent learned family traditions from a young age. In 2017, at the age of 21, he launched Domaine Pierre Girardin, producing impressive wines from his family estate and collaborating with top growers to expand his terroir reach.
Pierre-Vincent's commitment to organic viticulture extends to vineyards in Pommard and Vosne-Romanée, where he tends to the vines as if they were his own. Embracing biodynamic practices and unique trellising methods, he crafts wines that highlight the true essence of Burgundy. With a focus on minimal intervention, he avoids filtration and fining, allowing the raw elements of Burgundy to shine. Working with custom barrels and reducing new wood influence, his Chardonnays showcase a distinct style.
PVG, viewed as an up-and-coming producer, offers wines with long-term price growth potential. Despite the young history the Domaine delivers an extensive performance track record, with positive critic scores and strong interest from several distributors worldwide contribute to the anticipation of price growth. Pierre-Vincent's lineage and early name recognition add to the promising outlook for this young Burgundian talent.
