Producer: Moet Chandon
Dom Pérignon was the 17th century Benedictine monk who has gone down in history as the person who "invented" Champagne. He sold the brand name to Moët & Chandon, which used it as the name for its prestige cuvée, which was first released in 1937.
Producer: Domaine de la Romanee Conti
Domaine de la Romane-Conti's Echzeaux Grand Cru bursts from the glass with a flamboyant bouquet of mulberry and wood smoke. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, concentrated, with a classically firm chassis of tannin and a lovely core of sappy.
